Create and manage API keys

Sign in and open API keys in your dashboard. Minting a key shows the secret once — store it in your secrets manager, not in code. Each key carries its own controls: model allowlist, spending caps and rate limits, so you can scope a key to exactly what one app needs.

Smouter is OpenAI-compatible: point your existing SDK at the Smouter base URL from the quickstart and keep your code unchanged. If a key may have leaked, rotate or revoke it immediately from the same page, then update your deployment.
